As part of our broadcast, we went digging and diving for stories that you don't hear everyday. We turned them into radio features for your listening pleasure.

Interested in how we did it? We used a program called Hindenburg. It's a radio editing software that lets people like us tell audio stories. It's pretty cool - you can check it out here.

Some of these features were played live during our November 5 broadcast - others are sweet bonuses.

our broadcast intro...

RADIO FEATURES

Gig Buddies

Many people living with disabilities find it hard to go for a night out. But a Sydney not for profit called Gig Buddies gives support for those who need it to have these experiences.

Bush Regen

If you look at a map of Sydney, you’ll see a big green band of bush around the city’s urban sprawl. But areas close to houses are often overrun by weeds, and it falls to the experts to bring these back from the brink.

Microdosing

For some, LSD and the 60s conjures up deviant behaviour. Now, almost 60 years on, we investigate how microdosing is changing the controversial issues surrounding psychedelic drugs.

Fandom Culture

We live in an age of nerding it out, and for some people, that means being a part of a fandom. But what is fandom really, and why does it matter a lot to some people?

Data Mining

Have you ever wondered why Facebook ads pop up for items you’ve recently searched or messaged somebody about? Find out what information these companies know about you and how they turn it into ads.

St James Tunnels

Fun fact: there’s some abandoned railway tunnels in the heart of Sydney, spaces people have mostly forgotten about. How did they get there in the first place?

World Vets

Curious about the treatment of dogs in Peru compared to how we treat them here in Australia? When it comes to vaccination and desexing, there's a difference.
